2024 Public Art Mural Project
The 2024 Public Art Project is officially underway!
The Seminole Arts Council (hopefully with collaborative funding from the City of Seminole, a decision is pending a proposal in February), is launching a Mural Incentive program for local businesses and property owners in Seminole, Oklahoma. Through an application process, the Seminole Arts Council will consider requests for funding from any Oklahoma artist up to $10,000. We are asking that interested artists submit their portfolios and a brief description of their art style and work experience.
We are also working to accept bids from local businesses and property owners to host the artwork and will work with the property owner to select the artist. Businesses who apply to our Mural Incentive program must agree to pay a preparation fee of $500 (used for washing and priming the wall, and sealing it with an anti-graffiti layer).
An agreement is required for all parties involved.
The deadline for artists to apply is February 29, 2024. March 8th, 2024 at midnight!
The deadline for hosts to apply is March 31, 2024.
