SHINING A LIGHT ON AUTISM

Seminole Second Saturdays are back again, and this time we’ve teamed up with Seminole’s Best Buds to help raise money for a very good cause! This amazing event is for awareness, inclusion, and community! Come join us! 401 N Main St, Seminole, OK 74868.

Autism isn't a disability but a different ability!! Help us raise money and awareness for autism by joining us for a day of fun for the whole family! We plan on kicking off the event with a 4k/Fun Run Race for Charity, there will be chalk art contest, games, crafts, live music, food, and vendors for shopping! Click here for Vendor Registration!

The 4k race and fun run serves as our fundraiser, and we are currently seeking sponsors! We have a fundraising goal of $10,000 and the proceeds will be distributed directly to special-education classrooms in our county. We have reached 25% of our goal, and have three weeks as of the date of this post to get to $10,000! Please contact us if you or your business would like to help us make this fundraiser a huge success!! You can also purchase a sponorship ticket, or make a general donation on our official Givebutter page! All sponsorships and donations are tax deductible; the Seminole Arts Council is a nonprofit 501(c)-3 organization.

April is Autism Awareness month! In 2021, the CDC reported that approximately 1 in 44 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder, according to 2018 data. 1 in 27 boys identified with autism, and 1 in 116 girls. Autism touches us all! in some way or another so let's show them our love, support, and encouragement!

Thank you so much to our sponsors so far!!
