Time Travel Post #1: The Jungle Book

As most of you may know, the Seminole Arts Council used to be a very prominent organization in town, and over the years it slowly faded away. As a part of our cause to revive the arts council and the arts in Seminole, we plan to share a lot of old stories and news articles about the arts council and things they used to do here. To start it off, we’d like to go back to a newspaper clipping we found from September 20, 1992.

Also in the file was a playbill, and several thank you notes from young students who were invited to attend the performance. They were all very happy that the Seminole Arts Council provided them with this experience, and encouraged them to keep up the work that they’re doing.

We were gifted these files from a previous council member (they were a member before they disbanded), and have enjoyed reading about how AMAZING the arts council once was. It brought tears to our eyes to think that somewhere the organization lost its support. We hope that with revived help from the folks who live here, we can make the arts council (and Seminole) more proud and more progressive than ever.

If you or someone you know may be interested in joining us, or someone who is interested in conducting small theater performances like ‘The Jungle Book’, please encourage them to join the Seminole Arts Council ♥

The article is cut a little, short, but here is some more fun about the Jungle Book performance that took place…
